Stock Market Information
Nifty opened with a huge gap of almost 60 points in the morning and was at its lowest level since 10th Jan. But it did a great recovery in the afternoon session & closed more than 100 points above from its low at 4891.5. But it wasn't a complete happy day. INR traded at its lifetime low of 55.01. Country's biggest lender SBI posted great Q4 results. It's net profit rose to Rs 4,050.27 crore in the Q4 2012, against just Rs 20.88 crore recorded in Q4 of the previous fiscal. SBIN, Sesagoa & Grasim were the top gainers accumulating in the 3.7-5.8% range. The top losers were Tatamotors & Ambujacement by shedding more than 3.5% of share value. Globally most of major markets traded in negative. CAC, DAX, FTSE, HSI, Shanghai; all traded in negative. Asian HSI & Shanghai traded more than 1% down.
